Lens behavior
The Latch C2 Lens (Geneva Lens) provides visual feedback after a credential is presented. There are three confirmed states:
Spins in a circular pattern: credential accepted — the exterior thumbturn is enabled for ~10 seconds.
Flashes: credential rejected (invalid doorcode, expired key, out of schedule, or unrecognized Keycard).
Does not light up: batteries are depleted — replace the 6 AA alkaline batteries or use Qi inductive jumpstart to perform an emergency unlock.
DOOR does not publish a documented list of LED or beep error codes for the C2. If a behavior other than the three above is observed, capture a short video and escalate to support@door.com.
Locking and unlocking summary
Action
How
Unlock from outside (app)
Open DOOR app → tap the door → tap Unlock while within Bluetooth range. The exterior thumbturn enables for ~10 seconds — turn it to retract the deadbolt.
Unlock from outside (doorcode)
Tap any key on the Lens → enter the doorcode. Lens spins → turn the exterior thumbturn within ~10 seconds.
Unlock from outside (Keycard)
Tap any key on the Lens → hold a Latch Keycard against the center of the Lens. Lens spins → turn the exterior thumbturn within ~10 seconds.
Unlock from outside (battery emergency)
Hold a Qi wireless charger against the exterior Lens and unlock via the DOOR app.
Lock from outside
Turn the exterior thumbturn toward the door frame after the credential window closes — or have the resident throw the deadbolt from inside.
Lock or unlock from inside
Use the interior thumbturn at any time. The thumbturn is always free, no credential needed.
There is no auto-lock on the C2.
