DOOR provides training videos, a printable flyer, email templates, and live training sessions to support property teams migrating from Latch. This page is the single reference of every resource available — bookmark it, share specific links with your team, or use the email templates verbatim to communicate with residents.

Training videos

Three short videos cover the essentials. Share these with your team during onboarding or with residents during the migration.

  • DOOR OS — overview of the web platform, how to manage keys, doors, and residents.
  • DOOR App for Property Managers — using the DOOR App to activate, manage, and maintain hardware in the field.
  • DOOR App for Residents — share with residents to walk them through the resident experience.

Live training sessions

DOOR offers two formats:

  1. Intro to DOOR for Property Managers — a full walkthrough of the DOOR App and DOOR OS for new or current property managers who need a refresher.
  2. Open DOOR Sessions — a 30-minute Q&A for managers with specific questions or follow-ups from the larger training.

DOOR has a digital flyer (PDF) you can print and post around your building or share via email to encourage residents to switch to the DOOR App.

Use these templates verbatim or as a starting point when communicating the migration to residents. Replace [Your Property Team Name] with your team's signature.

We're excited to share that next week, DOOR (formerly Latch) is launching the new DOOR App — your updated solution for smart access and enhanced building features. This app will gradually replace the Latch App, offering everything you already use, plus new features to make everyday living even easier.

What's new in DOOR:

  • Faster unlock options with shorter doorcodes
  • Smart home controls for thermostats, lights, and more
  • A fresh, mobile-first design built for ease

What you need to know:

  • You'll receive an invite to download the DOOR App next week.
  • Sign in with your existing Latch credentials.
  • All your current access carries over — no action needed on your part.
  • Both apps work simultaneously until the Latch App is phased out (we'll keep you updated).

Why switch early? While the Latch App will continue to be available until at least March 2026, the sooner you move to DOOR, the sooner you get access to new features.

No setup required. Just download the DOOR App and sign in with your Latch credentials. Your access is already there.

  1. Download the DOOR App for iOS or Android.
  2. Sign in with your Latch credentials.
  3. Start using DOOR.
  4. Once you're comfortable, you can delete the Latch App.
