There is no separate "delete" action for doorcodes in the DOOR App. Resetting a doorcode replaces the old code with a new one — the previous code stops working once the change reaches the lock.
Resetting a residence doorcode
A residence doorcode is the code for your unit door. You can reset it yourself:
- Open the DOOR App and go to Access.
- Tap your unit door.
- Tap Reset Doorcode.
- Your app displays a new doorcode.
- If your unit door is not internet-connected, perform a Door Sync to push the new code to the lock — see How do I perform a Door Sync?. Internet-connected doors update automatically within a few minutes.
After a reset, the previous doorcode no longer works at the lock.
Communal doorcodes
Communal doorcodes (lobby, gym, garage, and other shared doors) cannot be reset from the DOOR App.
To get new communal doorcodes, contact your property management team and ask them to remove all your assigned keys and re-assign them. This generates new doorcodes for all communal doors you have access to. For any communal door that is not internet-connected, a Door Sync must be performed after re-assignment for the new code to work at the lock.
If a communal doorcode has stopped working, start by performing a Door Sync on that door — see How do I perform a Door Sync?. If the code still does not work after syncing, contact your property management team for help.
