How do I reset my doorcode?

DOOR generates your doorcode automatically when your property team adds you to a door. If you want to change it, you can reset it to get a new doorcode.

Note: This article covers residence doorcodes (your unit door). You cannot reset a communal doorcode (lobby, gym, parking) on your own — contact your property team for that.

About this feature

Each resident has one unique doorcode per door. You cannot pick the code — DOOR assigns it. Resetting replaces the old code with a newly generated one immediately in the app. The old code stops working on the physical lock after you perform a Door Sync.

Before you start

  • You must have access to the door in the DOOR App.
  • After resetting, the new code will not work at the lock until you perform a Door Sync.

Steps

  1. Open the DOOR App.
  2. Go to Access and tap the door whose doorcode you want to reset.
  3. Select the Door to open the door view.
  4. Under the doorcode view, tap Reset Doorcode.
  5. Confirm the reset when prompted.
  6. Perform a Door Sync — stand within Bluetooth range (~3 meters) of the lock and sync the door so the new code takes effect on the device.

Your new doorcode appears in the app immediately after the reset. The old code stops working once the lock is synced.

If it didn't work

"Reset Doorcodes" is not visible: This option only appears for residence doors. If you are looking at a communal door, contact your property team to request a new code.

New code doesn't work at the lock: You need to perform a Door Sync first. The device still has the old code until it is synced. Stay within Bluetooth range of the lock and sync, then try the new code.
