Log in to the DOOR App for the first time

Signing in to the DOOR App is how you get access to your doors. After you receive your invitation email and set up your account, signing in takes about ten seconds: email, password, a few permission prompts, and you land on the Access screen where your doors are listed.

About this feature

The DOOR App keeps your access on your account. You can be signed in on multiple devices at the same time — each device works independently with your doors.

Before you start

  • Download the DOOR App from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Have your invitation email from DOOR. If you have not received one, contact your property management team — they need to invite you before you can sign in.

Steps

  1. Open the DOOR App on your phone.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Enter your password and tap Sign In.
  4. When prompted, allow the DOOR App to use Bluetooth — this is required for unlocking doors.
  5. Allow Notifications if you want door activity alerts (optional).
  6. On iOS, allow Local Network access when prompted — tap Allow.
  7. The app opens to the Access tab. Your doors appear here within a few seconds.

If it didn't work

"Incorrect email or password": Double-check your email for typos. If you are unsure of your password, tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen to reset it.

"Email not recognized": Your invitation may not have gone through, or your property team has a different email address on file. Contact them to confirm which email they used.

"You do not have permission to use the Latch App": This message appears in the old Latch App, not the DOOR App. It means your account has already moved to DOOR. Download the DOOR App and sign in there — your credentials are the same.

Doors don't appear after signing in: Your property team may not have granted you access to specific doors yet. Contact them to confirm your setup is complete.
