Revoking a guest removes their access to your doors. The change is instant in the DOOR App, but non-internet-connected locks (most unit doors) need a Door Sync before the physical device stops accepting the revoked credential.
About this feature
Revocation removes your guest's ability to unlock the door via the DOOR App and invalidates any daily doorcode they received. For doors that connect to your building's network (internet-connected), revocation takes effect automatically within a few minutes. For doors without an internet connection, you must perform a Door Sync after revoking.
You can only revoke access for guests you personally invited. If another resident invited the guest, that resident must revoke the access.
Steps
- Open the DOOR App and go to Access.
- Tap Guests.
- Find the guest whose access you want to remove and tap their name.
- Tap Revoke Access at the bottom of the screen and confirm.
- If the door is not internet-connected (most unit doors): perform a Door Sync while within Bluetooth range of the lock. The device does not stop accepting the old credential until synced.
If the guest still unlocks after revocation
The most common reason is that the Door Sync has not been performed yet. Stand near the lock, open the DOOR App, and sync the door.
If you have already synced and the guest can still unlock, see I revoked my guest's access, but they can still unlock the door for a full diagnosis.
