Using your DOOR Dimmer Switch
The DOOR Dimmer Switch controls your lights from the DOOR App. You can turn lights on or off, set brightness, create a schedule, and configure gentle fade-in/fade-out behavior.
Opening Dimmer Switch controls
- Open the DOOR App and tap the Controls tab.
- Tap your Dimmer Switch.
- Tap Open device settings.
Dashboard controls
Turning the light on or off
Use the toggle at the top of the Dashboard to turn the light on or off.
Adjusting brightness
Use the brightness slider to set the light level.
Schedules
Tap Schedules to view and customize when the light turns on or off automatically, and at what brightness.
Settings
Status LED
The switch has a small status LED that lights up when the light is on. Toggle this off if you prefer no indicator light (useful for bedrooms).
Brightness LED
Dimmers include a secondary brightness indicator. Toggle off if you don't want it to display.
Gentle ON
Set an interval (0–20 seconds) for the light to slowly ramp up from off to full brightness, instead of turning on abruptly.
Gentle OFF
Set an interval for the light to slowly fade out when turned off.
Dimming calibration
Adjust the minimum brightness level to eliminate flickering at low dim levels. Slowly dim the light up and down while calibrating, and find the lowest stable level.
Timer
Set a one-time Turn On or Turn Off event — useful for a scheduled activation without creating a recurring schedule.
Sync time zone
Tap Time to sync the switch's time zone with your phone, so schedules fire at the right local time.
History
The History tab shows a log of when the light was turned on or off and changes in connection status.
