DOOR OS runs in any modern desktop, tablet, or mobile browser. The platform uses current web APIs, so older browsers may not load the full UI or may show degraded features. This page lists the browsers that DOOR OS actively supports and what to do if your browser is unsupported.
Supported browsers
| Browser | Minimum supported version | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google Chrome | Latest stable | |
| Mozilla Firefox | Latest stable | |
| Apple Safari | Latest stable | macOS and iOS |
| Microsoft Edge | Latest stable | Chromium-based Edge |
DOOR commits to supporting the latest stable version of each browser. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge auto-update by default, so most users are already on a supported version without doing anything.
Why these minimums exist
DOOR OS uses modern web APIs (ES2020+ JavaScript, modern CSS layout, secure cookies) that older browsers don't implement. Running an unsupported browser typically produces one of these symptoms:
- Pages load partially or show layout glitches.
- Sign-in or session features fail silently.
- Buttons or modals don't respond.
If you experience any of those, check your browser version first.
What if my browser is unsupported?
- Update your current browser to the latest stable version. Most browsers update automatically — open the About menu to confirm.
- If your operating system can't run the latest version, install one of the supported browsers above. All four are free.
- If you must use an older or restricted browser (corporate IT policy, kiosk mode, etc.), contact your IT team to allowlist a supported browser, or contact DOOR Support at
support@door.comto confirm whether a compatible alternative is feasible.
