DOOR OS is the web-based portal for managing DOOR-equipped properties. You use it to create doors, invite residents, assign access keys, and view reports — all from a browser, with no app to install. Hardware actions such as unlocking and syncing devices are handled through the DOOR App.
This article walks you through logging in for the first time after receiving your invitation.
About this feature
DOOR OS runs in a browser at app.door.com. It is not a mobile app. You can use any modern desktop browser; for best results see the supported browser list in Browser compatibility for DOOR OS.
Once logged in, you have access to the main sections of the portal:
- Access — create and manage Doors, Units, and Keys
- People — invite residents, staff, and guests; manage access keys per person
- History — view access logs and activity logs for the property
- Reports — generate reports on residents, devices, managers, and more
- Settings — manage managers, schedules, integrations, and property configuration
Before you start
- You must have received an invitation email from an existing Portfolio Manager at your property. The invite contains your login link.
- If you have not received the email, check your spam folder or ask the Portfolio Manager to resend it.
Steps
- Open the invitation email and click the link to verify your email address.
- You are taken to DOOR OS at app.door.com. If prompted, set your password.
- Log in with your email address and the password you just created.
- On your first login you land on the dashboard. Review the main navigation on the left to familiarize yourself with the sections.
After logging in, you can complete property setup by creating doors and keys. See the related articles below for the next steps.
Troubleshooting
- Invitation link expired or not working: ask the Portfolio Manager who invited you to send a new invitation from DOOR OS → Settings → Staff.
- Forgot password: on the login screen, select Forgot password and enter your email. You will receive a reset link.
- Login succeeds but you see no properties: your account may exist but no portfolio has been linked to it. Contact your Portfolio Manager.
