Using your DOOR Hub
The DOOR Hub is the gateway that connects your Smart Home sensors, thermostat, and switches to the DOOR cloud. It runs in the background — you don't interact with it directly, but it needs to stay online for your other smart home devices to function.
About this feature
Your property installs and maintains the Hub. As a resident, you can view the Hub's status and connection details in the DOOR App. If the Hub goes offline, smart home devices stop sending data and cannot be controlled remotely until it reconnects.
Viewing Hub status
- Open the DOOR App and tap the Controls tab.
- Tap the DOOR Hub in the device list.
- Tap Open device settings.
Dashboard — what you'll see:
- Status — Online or Offline
- Last Updated — The most recent time the Hub reported to DOOR
- Connection — Online/Offline indicator
- Location — The property name
- Power — Whether the Hub is on DC power and the backup battery status
Additional information (under Device Details):
- Device Type, Model, Device EUI, Serial Number, Firmware Version, IP address, gateway, and connectivity details
History
The History tab shows a chronological log of Hub connectivity events — when it went online or offline.
If the Hub shows offline
If the Hub shows Offline in the Controls tab:
- Check that the Hub is plugged in and the physical unit has power.
- If the Hub has power but shows Offline, power-cycle it: unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
- Allow a few minutes for the Hub to reconnect.
- If it remains Offline, contact your property management team — the Hub may need a network configuration change or replacement.
